Invest in Alaska's entrepreneurial future
Invest in Alaska’s Entrepreneurial Infrastructure
Most business programs serve Anchorage. AKEW serves Alaska. Sponsorship funds the coordination layer that connects 50+ organizations, 120+ events, and 7+ communities into one statewide week. This is not logo placement. It is an investment in the infrastructure that makes entrepreneurship support actually work across the state.
What Sponsors Get
Statewide Visibility
Brand exposure across the full AKEW ecosystem: website (year-round), email campaigns, social media, event materials, and in-person recognition at events in 7+ regions.
Decision-Maker Audience
AKEW attendees are business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, lenders, advisors, legislators, and nonprofit leaders who are actively building something. Not a passive audience.
Community Alignment
Association with a Governor-recognized, SBA-backed initiative that reaches underserved communities. A differentiator for CSR reporting and stakeholder communications.
Tax-Deductible Contribution
Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. AKEW processes contributions through a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsor. A receipt will be provided. Consult a tax advisor for your specific situation.
Measurable Impact
Post-event impact report with attendance data, geographic reach, event counts, and sponsor visibility metrics. Real numbers, not vague impressions.
Direct Access
Higher-tier sponsors get direct engagement: keynote introductions, featured event hosting, and co-branded content with statewide reach.
Sponsorship Tiers
Sponsorships can be made in dollars or in-kind (donated goods, services, or venue space). For in-kind contributions, the sponsorship tier is determined by the fair retail value of the donation. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. AKEW processes financial transactions through its 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsor. Consult a tax advisor for specific deductibility questions.

What Sponsorship Actually Funds
AKEW has zero paid staff. Every dollar goes directly to enabling the week:
- Regional Coordination across 7+ geographic areas, including rural communities with no other entrepreneurship programming
- Statewide Marketing reaching entrepreneurs, business owners, and support organizations through web, email, social, and media
- Technology Infrastructure including event calendar, registration, CRM, and website powering decentralized organizing year-round
- Materials and Logistics for City Leads and City Co-Leads who host events, produce programming, and coordinate speakers and venues on the ground
- Accessibility ensuring events remain free or low-cost so resources reach people regardless of ability to pay
Institutional Credibility
AKEW is not starting from scratch. It has earned institutional backing at multiple levels:
- Governor’s Proclamation for 3 consecutive years of official state recognition
- Municipality of Anchorage has offered renewed support for AKEW’s statewide mission
- U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has offered continued collaboration for 2026
- Junior Achievement of Alaska youth entrepreneurship integration
- Alaska SBDC ongoing statewide business advising partnership
- 50+ organizations across Alaska participating annually
