Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs – Anchorage

September 17 @ 13:30 - 15:00

Many entrepreneurs are taught to set emotions aside in the name of professionalism. This workshop on emotional intelligence (E.I.) takes a different approach by showing you how emotions can be valuable information that helps you make better business decisions.

Join us on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 p.m. at the Alaska SBDC Training Room in Anchorage for “Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs – Anchorage” presented by Morgan Wallbrown, MA, LPCC, & Founder of Cura Counseling & Consulting, LLC. This In-Person workshop focuses on practicing the skills you learned in the Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs On-Demand Workshop Series (see links below). While the On-Demand workshop series covers the concepts, this In-Person workshop allows you to practice and build the skills through guided activities. You’ll have an opportunity to apply these skills to real business situations, including situations in your own business! You’ll leave with a personalized plan for integrating these skills into your daily decision-making, leadership style, and even self-care.

What you’ll learn during this workshop:

You’ll get to apply what you learned in the Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs: On-Demand Workshop Series (see links below), and you’ll get to test your skills on a current business challenge or decision you’re facing.

You’ll get to practice at least two emotional intelligence tools. By practicing in real time, you’ll be building the muscle memory needed to apply these skills in real-life decision-making scenarios.

Finally, you’ll leave with a personalized integration plan that identifies specific ways to apply emotional intelligence skills.
