AKEW works because people across Alaska contribute their time, expertise, and resources. There are four ways to be part of the week, and each one directly strengthens the ecosystem.
Attend
Access the full ecosystem in one week. Browse the calendar and register for workshops, panels, and networking events in any region or online. Most events are free.
Host an Event
Fill the gaps. If there is a topic, a skill, or a resource that entrepreneurs in a region need, host an event that delivers it. AKEW handles promotion and coordination at no cost.
Sponsor
Fund the delivery infrastructure. Sponsorships pay for the coordination, promotion, and logistics that allow a volunteer-led initiative to reach 7+ regions statewide.
Volunteer
Build the infrastructure. From event coordination to outreach to technical support, volunteers are the engine that makes the week possible across Alaska.
For Organizations
AKEW is designed to showcase what Alaska’s support organizations already do. Listing as a participating organization is free and provides statewide visibility during the week. Organizations can also host events, co-brand with AKEW, or become strategic partners.

Alaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides free, confidential business advising statewide and will host multiple workshops during AKEW week.
Junior Achievement of Alaska brings youth entrepreneurship programs and student pitch competitions, connecting the next generation with real-world business experience.
U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) reached out proactively to collaborate on AKEW 2026, providing federal-level validation of the coordination model.
