When Does “Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence” Become a Concern for a Government Contractor?

This very basic workshop will provide participants with foundational information about Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI).

FOCI comes into play when the contractor is involved in work that requires access to classified information or facilities, particularly under a Department of Defense (DOD) or intelligence community contract.

After this workshop, participants will have assimilated information about:

1. The four primary times when FOCI becomes a concern
2. How FOCI could impact contracting with federal agencies
3. The role of the Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) in this process
4. FOCI mitigation instruments
