SUMMARY:Emotional ROI: A workshop on emotional intelligence for entrepreneurs.
DESCRIPTION:This 90-minute workshop looks at the four things that quietly drive every business decision: self-awareness\, self-regulation\, reading people\, and managing relationships. Through a hands-on “Emotional ROI Audit\,” you’ll map a real recent decision\, spot where the emotional signal got missed\, and leave with something you can actually use in your next hard conversation. Built for entrepreneurs\, small business owners\, and anyone building something of their own\, a practical look at the skill nobody puts on a pitch deck. \nAsk any founder how their revenue’s doing and they’ll rattle off numbers without blinking. Ask how they’re actually doing\, how they handled that blowup with a cofounder\, or the moment they almost fired someone out of frustration\, and you’ll get a shrug. We track financial ROI obsessively and ignore the emotional one completely. That’s a problem\, because the emotional side is usually what determines whether the financial side even survives. In this workshop\, we’ll dig into your own recent decisions in small groups\, spot where the emotional signal got missed\, and walk out with something you can actually use next time you’re in a hard conversation. If you’ve ever made a call you regretted because you were tired\, defensive\, or just not paying attention to what was really going on\, this is for you.

SUMMARY:Emotional Intelligence for Entrepreneurs - Part 1: What Is Emotional Intelligence (E.I.)?
DESCRIPTION:Many entrepreneurs are taught to set emotions aside in the name of professionalism. This workshop series on emotional intelligence (E.I.) takes a different approach by showing you how emotions can be valuable information that helps you make better business decisions. \nThis On-Demand workshop series is presented by Morgan Wallbrown\, MA\, LPCC\, & Founder of Cura Counseling & Consulting\, LLC. Morgan will break down the science of emotional intelligence and translate it into practical tools entrepreneurs can use to better understand themselves and others. You’ll learn new skills for communicating effectively and making decisions under pressure. During this workshop series\, you’ll also learn to treat your emotional responses as data\, not noise. You’ll learn how to sharpen the instincts you already rely on to read a room\, navigate conflict\, and make high-stakes decisions under pressure. \nWhat you’ll learn during each part of this workshop series: \nPart 1: What Is Emotional Intelligence (E.I.)? (This workshop.)\nYou’ll learn what emotional intelligence is\, how the Ability Model works\, and why emotions can provide valuable information instead of being something to ignore or control. \nPart 2: Why It Matters for Business\nYou’ll learn how emotional intelligence impacts business outcomes and recognize how emotional reactions can influence your bottom line. \nPart 3: How to Use E.I. in Real Life\nYou’ll practice applying the four abilities of emotional intelligence – perceiving\, understanding\, using\, and managing emotions – to real business situations you may face. \nPart 4: Practicing E.I. Skills\nYou’ll leave with some practical tools\, such as the mood meter and structured journaling prompts\, that you can begin using in your business right away. \nABOUT THE PRESENTER: \nMorgan Wallbrown\, MA\, LPCC\, & Founder of Cura Counseling & Consulting\, LLC. Morgan is a licensed mental health counselor in Alaska and Ohio; a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State; a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Louisiana Monroe; and the founder of Cura Counseling & Consulting\, LLC\, based in Eagle River.
