SUMMARY:Improving Lives\, Together: RHTP Workshop - Transforming Beneficiary Health in Alaska
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, September 16\, 2026 | Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center\, Anchorage Hosted by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority | Presented by the Alaska Department of Health \nIMPROVING LIVES\, TOGETHER | Department staff involved in the Complex Care Initiative with the Alaska Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS)\, as well as the department’s Rural Health Transformation Project (RHTP) team\, will present pre-conference workshops this Wed.\, September 16\, just before the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority’s Improving Lives Conference Thursday-Friday in Anchorage: \n\nImproving Complex Care in Alaska: Where You Fit In (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM). The state’s Complex Care Team on how cross-system coordination improves care planning\, reduces barriers\, and strengthens partnerships\, and where community partners fit in statewide collaboration.\nRHTP Workshop: Transforming Beneficiary Health in Alaska (1:00 to 5:00 PM). Alaska’s Rural Health Transformation Program team on progress to date and how RHTP investments can help transform the state’s behavioral health and disability systems.\n\nWhy this is part of Alaska Entrepreneurship Week\nHealth care is one of the largest employers in Alaska\, and much of it runs on small organizations: the village clinic\, the behavioral health provider\, the home care agency\, the disability services nonprofit\, the telehealth startup\, the medical transport company. In most of the state\, these are the businesses on Main Street. \nBoth workshops are about where the system is going and who it will need to get there. Complex care coordination only works with partners on the ground. Rural health transformation is a multi-year federal investment in workforce\, technology\, and delivery models\, and the state is asking who can help build it. That is a market forming in real time\, and it is forming in the communities AKEW exists to serve\, not only in Anchorage. \nIf you provide care\, build tools for people who do\, or want to understand how health dollars will move through rural Alaska in the next five years\, this is the room to be in. \nDetails\nEach workshop is $25 and runs in person at the Dena’ina Center. \nThe Improving Lives Conference follows on Thursday and Friday\, September 17 and 18. \nRegister through the conference page: improvinglivesalaska.org/pre-conference-workshops \nLearn more. review latest details and register  –>> HERE  <<–
