DESCRIPTION:Are you thinking about starting your own business?  This workshop was designed just for you! \n  \nJoin us on Wednesday\, October 1\, 2025 in Juneau for this In Person workshop on “Starting a Business” hosted by the Alaska Small Business Development Center (Alaska SBDC). During this workshop\, our Juneau Center Director\, Sandy Hussain\, will walk you through the steps and what to consider when starting a small business.  Let the Alaska SBDC help guide you through the process of starting a small business. \nIn “Starting a Business\,” you’ll learn about the initial steps and considerations for starting a small business\, such as: \n\nbusiness licensing\nlegal forms of business\nbusiness record-keeping\nhiring employees\nbusiness planning\naccess to financing\n\n  \nABOUT THE PRESENTER: \nSandy Hussain\, Juneau Center Director\, Alaska Small Business Development Center (Alaska SBDC).  Sandy Hussain has over a decade of experience as an entrepreneur in the retail and technology sectors. As the founder and CEO of Fashion Digital\, she led a premier thought leadership conference series in New York\, Los Angeles\, and LA.  Sandy thrives on helping businesses grow and scale\, specializing in digital marketing\, e-commerce\, startups\, business development\, fundraising\, and entrepreneurship.
