DESCRIPTION:A panel of local “impact” entrepreneurs\, \nusing profit as a ‘means’ to an end \nA panel of speakers that will have the following GOALS: \n\nGoal 1: Educate Anchorage residents about social or ‘impact’ entrepreneurship concepts\, pathways\, tools\, resources\nGoal 2: Inspire Anchorage residents through stories of social entrepreneurs in the community \nGoal 3: Engage Anchorage residents in a team-based action-oriented workshop to apply the tools to get started to become a social entrepreneur\, leading to a potential Social Enterprise Startup Weekend.\n\nThe main purpose is to Inspire Anchorage residents through stories of local ‘Impact Entrepreneurs’\, each with a 10-15 minute presentation highlighting key moments along their journey\, areas of current focus\, and bright visions of the future! \nThese are the speakers: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYaso Thiru\, Worker-owned Cooperative Entrepreneurship \n\n\nJess Johson\, Blue Market – for-profit \n\n\nAmy York\, Dirty Apron – West Soup Service Project  – public-private collaboration \n\n\nSara Renard\, Seeds of Change – enterprising nonprofit \n\n\nLynn Zender\, Zender Environmental – enterprising nonprofit \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDisclaimer: This event is organized by an independent host\, not by AKEW directly.
